Prevention & Safe Schools (PASS Department)

To create a safe, civil, equitable, and productive learning environment for student success by fostering meaningful relationships for all.

Three Pillars of PASS

Offering coaching and support for the implementation of positive behavior strategies.

Empowering all district stakeholders to build and maintain significant connections within the school community.

Instruction and guidance in fostering positive interactions and an engaging learning atmosphere.

Through overseeing initiatives such as the District Code of Civility, Boys and Girls Clubs, Safe and Civil Schools Curriculum, and many more, PASS is at the forefront of promoting a culture of excellence, respect, and inclusivity across Alief ISD.

PASS does:

focus on proactive, constructive interventions and strategies to minimize disruptions and enhance educational outcomes

PASS does not:

function as administrators, evaluators, or specialists focused solely on student behavior post-incident.
